素焼きのカロリー-Bisque Temperature

エクセルでつくったグラフと
焼成データに書き込みながら
灯油窯での素焼き、60回以上
12時間かけ750℃（7時間で300℃
+5時間で750℃）焼成ライン

が、8時間 800℃の基線ひいて
それでも300℃まで慎重に上げ
9時間で780℃、問題ないみたい

After bisque firing more than
sixty times(12 hours/750℃),
I changed the graph line
(8 hours/800℃).
No problem, it seems.

カタツムリのかけら-Clay Snail Shells

「静物画」のことを
フランス語では
"nature morte"（死んでいる自然）
英語では
"still life"（静止した生物）、らしい

It's interesting that seibutsu-ga
(still thing-painting) in Japanese
is "nature morte"(dead nature)
in French, and "still life" in English.

"Pole pole" in Swahili
means "slowly slowly".
In other words people
tend to be impatient!

山を歩いていると
呼ぶ声が聞こえて
足をとめほおずり
したくなる、老木

When hiking in the mountain,
I hear you call me.
It's a large tree.
I can't resist touching the bark
and wondering how it has stood
there for years.

午前、
手回しろくろで粘土玉
押し込むように穴あけ
指ではさんであげてく

In the morning,
the body, lid, spout, and
handle were hand built.

午後、
いくらか乾いたパーツ
角度みながらくっつけ
蓋の取っ手かたつむり

指跡を綺麗にするなら
最初から電動ろくろに
すればいいのだけれど
なごやかな土との時間

In the afternoon,
they are dry enough to
put together.
The clay will respond to
the merest touch of my fingers.

青のガラス片を焼く-Kiln Fired Blue Glass

ワインの瓶、気をつけて砕き
水酸化アルミニウム塗った粘土
の型にピンセットで詰め焼く
陶より低い温度で（1000℃）

破片が溶けきらずむしろいい
春の木漏れ日にかざしてみた
Carefully crushed bottle
glass in a mold fired at
temperatures lower
than ceramic.
The transparency is
so fascinating.

鶏肉をこんがり炒めて
取り出し、後でのせる

I had some Sekihan
(sticky rice cooked with Sasage
or cowpeas) left over.
This time I sautéed chicken first,
took it out of the frying pan, and
garnish the top with it, instead of
mixing ingredients.

ある日、ぽっかぽか
ケヤキの下で、冷麺
と、糸にぶら下がり
するする降りてきた

It was nice and warm
on the veranda.
As having lunch
under a zelkova tree,
I saw a caterpillar
hanging down
by a thread.

夕方、積んだ薪の上で
そいつ？を、みかけた
まさかねぇ？

Later in the afternoon, i saw it?
again on the piled firewood.

木霊（こだま）、と名づけた
花入れに、ぎゅっと編み込む
木に宿る精霊さん、よろぴく

It begins with a walk through trees.
I made a hanger for the vase,
which I named "Kodama or
tree spirit".
