I just love shiitake mushrooms,
which are great for stuffing.
I deep fried them like rolling tennis balls.

山栗マッフィン-Wild Chestnut Muffins

台風待ち?ながら
栗を甘く煮て軽くつぶし
玉子+牛乳+蜂蜜+黒砂糖+オリーブ油と
ふるった粉+BPをさっくり混ぜて

Autumn is the season in which we cannot
fail to find some wild foods to collect.
The typhoon was approaching, which
kept me inside, so I baked.
They are moist, spongy, not overly sweet.

The thorny plant, Cirsium purpuratum,
on the sandy riverbank near my house
seems to be friendly to a pollinator.

I was looking out of the window yesterday.
The purple, which is one of my autumn images, caught my eye.
I read many people liken the scent of the flowers to either chocolate or vanilla.
Don't forget to sniff the flower next spring.
I buried the seeds in the ground.
The thick rind.....maybe I will stir-fry for the first time.

陶土は、古代から、とぎれる
ことなく熟成してるんだもの

I feel like listening to 'myth' of clay.
It has existed since ancient times
and still continues to mature.

I always wear necklaces,
which I believe work as mood elevators.

ピレネーを越え、4000キロ、ラップランド到着
テレビで見ている、野生は、美しくほほえましい

I saw migration routes of common cranes on TV
------from Extremadura to Lapland.
They feed on grain left on the rice and maize fields
and also on acorns found in the cork woods.

Yesterday morning I saw a group of monkeys.
While you can enjoy wildlife on TV, .........

砂釉-Granite Sand Glaze

そもそも燃やした木の灰が
粘土のうつわに降りかかり
フュージョンした釉ガラス

群馬の砂は花崗岩+長石とみて
1.砂6+石灰4　2.砂8+石灰2
3.砂6+合成土灰4　4.砂8+合成土灰2

3.のテストピースでは、透明貫入釉になっている
シリカ（固める）+アルカり（溶かす）アルミナ（粘る）
長石と石英、雲母鉱物、カオリンや鉄分含む風化花崗岩

アルカリの石灰は、石を「溶か」していない、う？

I supposed this sand should be primarily
composed of feldspar and quartz.
Whiting(upper two) doesn't melt the silica and alumina,
but fake ash(lower two) does. I wonder why?

Our village lies south of the Misaka Mountains.
We drove to the Shinmichi pass and looked down
at the paddy field I walk through every day.

壁にかければ浮き出る

This is the back side of the "face".
Since I want the ceramic piece to be the focal point,
hiding the hanging mechanism is definitely preferable.

ふっくら炊いた餅米（8+コシヒカリ2）
すりこぎ棒でつき、塩水手でまるめる

練り上げたあんこ
手のひらにひろげ
団子ふんわり包む

胡麻を煎って擂った鉢で
あん包んだ団子ころがす

I made 'Ohagi' as autumn is just around the corner.
The left one is a sticky rice ball softly wrapped with sweet bean paste.
The right with bean paste inside coated with sesame seeds.

I'm not sure which was first, 'blue ' or 'face'?
I guess 'blue' occupied my mind
and then it happened to be a 'face'.
Are color and shape separable attributes at all?

釉ガラス-'Face11' Glaze-Fired

透明釉に銅を8%加えた釉薬
酸化焼成で、「緑色」になる

焼いたあと、希塩酸で拭ってやる
と、酸化皮膜がとれ、濃淡現れる

「顔」のあご、にみとれてしまう

This is the chin of the 'face'.
After fired, a thin film formed on the copper glaze
should be washed by acid solution.
Hues of green come to appear.

People carry USB drive.
But for me, wine (not digital) life, anywhere!
I made a necklace with ceramic cup and button just out of the kiln
and autumn color hemp thread.

檜の枝先を刈った
煮出してお風呂に
と、なんか白いもの
折りたたんだお手紙、だった
だから、ヒノキの
お返事はさんどいた

めったに人は通らない
いったい誰だろ、ね

I trimmed the branches of Hinoki cypress.
I decided to collect them for medicinal herb bath
and went back to the trees.
I noticed white something, which was a folded letter.
Very few people walk by, who is it?
I put the reply in the bark.

As hiking in Oze Marshland in August,
this butterfly waited for me.
The forewing upperside was bright metallic bluish green.
It was the first time and only once.

1000度くらいで溶け合い

I started firing a glaze kiln at 2 this morning.
It is going to be a long day.

I noticed the dew-kissed toadlily, which waited to bloom.

Everyone lives in a different world,
which she or he has made up.
Some doors seem to be open,
and others locked.

By the way my eyes are getting smaller.

群馬の石砂-Natural Feldspar

八月、尾瀬にむかって
片品村を走っていたら
「長石鉱山」、の標識

坂道をはいっていくと
削られた山肌が真っ白

地質図では「花崗岩」と
その石英が、熱水により
交代した「曹長石」？

As driving to Oze this summer,
I collected feldspar, granite and quartz? at a mine.
This sand looks delicious, I mean, may make a good glaze.
I have made four test pieces. Wait and see!

赤貝の上にかぶせて
焼いた伊賀土茶わん
密封したサヤの中は
木炭・スス・貝がら
すさまじい炎のはず、だ

が、その気配はない
どころか、静寂、だ

Fired in a small saggar with charcoal and seashells,
this piece was catalyzed by heat, pressure
and the lack of oxygen
-------the millions of chemical reactions.

Why is that it feels so deep and so silent?

I rarely find children who have the wide-open face
that I associate with lack of inner tension and pain.
Instead, most usually have a somewhat pinched look
or a controlled careful smile like most adults do.

紫が好きでとっといた
立体裁断のTシャツを

うしろで丸め結びこぶ

まぁ、バンダナ+帽子？
T-シャツも、パンツ？も
古びたやわらかさ、いい

I have made 5 caps out of old t-shirts and even panty.
This time I simply cut out the seamless purple shirt,
leaving the rounded hemline as it is.　　Bandana Cap?

建てることにした

底を平らにして沓石
深さや位置、微調整
ビスとネジを打込む
石や土、針金で固定
はぁぁ、お疲れさま

I completed the signboard last month.
With most of our summer guests gone,
it's time to start putting it up.
It was such a hard work and I asked for a help.

I usually choose serving dishes
before cooking.
The deep-fried salmon, mushrooms, and
onion in a blue-green bowl, not plate.
It's a taste of adventure.

圧倒的なキャベツ、も

The cabbage was melt in the mouth full of subtle flavors.
I wonder why in Hebrew, the term "rosh kruv"
(cabbage head) implies stupidity.
I came across this expression when I was
translating "Sociology of Housework" or "Househusbands".
