皿裏の美-Kiln Changes

赤貝の上にかぶせて
焼いた伊賀土茶わん
密封したサヤの中は
木炭・スス・貝がら
すさまじい炎のはず、だ

が、その気配はない
どころか、静寂、だ

Fired in a small saggar with charcoal and seashells,
this piece was catalyzed by heat, pressure
and the lack of oxygen
-------the millions of chemical reactions.

Why is that it feels so deep and so silent?
