道がひとつであれば
迷うことも、ないが
たいくつ、だ

分かれ道で、立ち止まる
「どっちかなあ？」
ふりかえれば、その選択の
なんとジグザグ、なことか

それが、いいのだ、と
窯から出てきた
「ふたつ茶碗」のかたつむり

A set of cups just out of the kiln,
of which snail comes to a fork in the road.
If there's no choice, the life will be boring.
