ざらざら・ごつごつ・土は肌である-Touch the Clay

ともすれば
色やかたちを「見」がち、だが
土は、触って「感」じるものだ
と、思う

「さわる」ことを、そもそも、忘れてはいまいか？
作り手が指先で、土肌を、なでてなでて、なでて....
そうして生まれた「かたち」は、待っているのだ

We tend to look at pottery, which I believe
is meant to be held, to be lifted and put down.

Have you ever held a pot, put your hands inside it?
Have your fingers ever found a place where the potter's fingers had shaped the clay?
