玄関に「名前」って日本だけかしら？
通りの名前と番号、はよく見るけれど

これは陶芸教室のKさんの作品
苗字だけ、というのも多い、が

そもそも
明治３年、太政官布告で「平民も苗字を名乗ってもよろしい」
明治８年、徴税、徴兵のため、苗字を名乗ることが義務になる

「表札」は、記号のようなものだけど
なにかしら「思い」をこめてる、みたい

We usually find a nameplate fastened to a door, which
indicates the person who lives there in Japan.
"Family name" is as common as "full name" or even "names of all the family'.

Ordinary people used to be prohibited to have a 'family name' until 1870,
which has since been forced at the government's convenience.
Each nameplate, wooden, glass, or ceramic, seems to show something more than just icon.
