リサイクルシャモットの効用-Recycled Chamotte

焼成中に釉薬が垂れて
棚板にくっついちゃわ
ないように、道具土で
つくった薄いせんべい
に作品をのせたりする

その破片を砕いた焼粉
粘土にまぜ収縮弱める

Chamotte mixed into
the clay would reduce
shrinkage during drying
and firing.

つい出しにくい
大きな器、盛る
のも、体力勝負

After a hot summer day
I hear 'Higrashi' or evening cicadas chirping
and take out the bowl for 'Buri' or yellow tail Carpaccio.

I was thinking of a
horse when I started.
As I was pinching the
clay to make the head
and face, a camel just
appeared.

紫陽花咲いて、梅雨寒に

澄んだ川の流れに
わずかに光る色彩
どうしよう、かな

白絵土塗って素焼

I imagine the colours are soft
and gentle and don't distract,
and so apply white slip before
bisque firing.

5-6種類の釉を魚に重ね
マット調の釉をひと吹き
少しトーン落したかった

カメラを３㎝まで近づけても

I was walking along the
path between paddy fields.

The super macro mode allows
me to get as close as 1-3cm,
I don't think
they would, though!


いろんなみどり、まじってる
今では画像だけ残ってる土蛙
おやおや砂つけたの正解、ね

「オスはメスの背中にのっかり
　前肢でメスの腹を抱きかかえ
　抱接=腹を強く押し卵を放出
　させる...」こんなとこで？

素焼きしたまま
ほっといた赤系
中だけ施釉して
貝殻で仕切って
きちきちに詰め
鞘鉢焼成したら

Glazed only inside
and sagger fired pieces,
which I suppose were
exposed to strong
reduction atmosphere.

粘土を「つく」道具-Pound /Knead Clays

保存中に、粘土は乾燥して
石みたいになっちゃう、と
水では、柔らかくならない
んで、一つかみずつ、つく

作品を作るたびに、いろいろ
まぜては練って粘土をつくる

これは、採取土+粉（天草陶石/
セリサイト/童仙房）+テラコッタ

Once dried out, clay becomes
hydrophobic, meaning it will
repel water.
I usually mix clays; commercial/
locally collected/powdered natural
materials.
