雨降りが、二日続いた
またカエル、浮かんだ
高さ9cm, 奥行き5cm
まだやわらかほやほや

"Grenouille d'argile"
"Rana de la arcilla"
A couple of rainy days
are long enough to
come up with this frog
'(hanging) vase' idea.


思えば、2007年、長雨の季節
つくった「旅ガエル」シリーズ
これは一匹め、旅に出ちゃった

The first piece of the "traveling frogs"
series I made in 2007.
It's actually gone away from me.

なのか、一年中店頭に並ぶ
カツオのタタキと丼ごはん
柚子ラー油ポン酢+オリーブ
油+粗挽き胡椒+Lemon salt
+生姜+ニンニク


"Carpaccio de bonite sobre el arroz"
Katsuo(Skipjack tuna)-tataki(roasted very rare)
carpaccio over steaming rice.

「鳥」タイルをつくる-Bird-Shaped Tile

タイルといえば、バルセロナの
ガウディ設計グエル公園にある
弟子ジュジョルの、破砕タイル

広告紙に鉛筆描きして切り抜く
粘土板にラインうつしくりぬく



白っぽい採取土泥塗っとけば
釉薬の色の違い、遊べそうだ

I always remember "the bench"
in Park Güell, decorated with
shards of glazed ceramic tile.

I have come to know it's done
by Josep Maria Jujol, not Gaudi.

山を歩いてる、と
呼ばれた気がして
そこに温かい老木

地衣の木肌を撫で
太い幹に腕を回す

"Un vieil arbre""Un árbol viejo"
As hiking on a mountain trail,
I hear someone calling me.



There I find an old wrinkled tree.
I wrap my arms around it and
caress the bark covered with
lichen and moss.

残ってた、キャベツ四分の一
よくよく眺めるとかなり隙間
ロールしないで、具をつめた

Due to the weather this summer,
the leaves, they say, are not
wrapped tightly enough.
I had a quarter in the fridge and so
stuffed meat mixture into the space
between leaves.

たしか野口英世通り、の店だった
2002年夏旅ファイル、みてみたら
「手書きされた」山椒漬のレシピ
「旅」を思い出せば、必ず「ひと」

"Marinage""Conserva en vinagre"
This ceramic container is traditionally
used to pickle dried 'nishin' or herring.
Surprisingly I still have this 'pickle brine recipe'
hand written by the shop owner in 2002.

ピーカンパイ風おやつ
甘藷/蜂蜜/クルミ/柚子

還元焼成温度が低かった
「おかげ」で、透明青の
はずが、釉薬溶けきらず
弁柄鉄とのフュージョン、も景色

"Thanks to" a lower temperature
of the kiln, transparent blue glaze
didn't melt enough and turned matt.

じっくり、さほど煙くもならず

in the hot oil in a shallow pan, fish
can be called 'Kara-Age' or 'deep-fried'?

野原で、つるうめもどき
そっとそぉっと手折った
焼締めの火色、と朱い実

"La couleur du feu"
The orange-red berries
in the withered bush were
bright, which give a joy to
the “Hi-Iro, literally “firecolor”
of the bottle fired in a saggar.

煮えて、オーブンでチーズ溶かす

I tried a new recipe of 'Moussaka',
replacing eggplant with cauliflower
and yogurt, that turned out light
and yummy. Turkish or Serbian?

上芦川から日向坂峠の露頭
やたら白いな、と思ったら
珪石の粒ぞろぞろ花崗岩類
いざ、黒岳のブナの原生林
にはいると、あら堆積岩？

左上は蓼科高原の火山岩類
麦草峠西南の冷山ﾂﾒﾀﾔﾏには
黒曜石露頭もあるらし、ﾌｰﾑ

"Les roches indiquent""Las rocas dicen"
What marvels me most is
'exposed terrain'.

庭の落ち葉すくって

くすんだ白に盛った

into a pile of fallen leaves
and scoop them up.

大判の薄皮が好きだ
めいっぱい具つめる

鉄鍋に浅く湯をはり
餃子を並べて、蒸す
湯なくなり油たらす

Pan-steamed/fried gyoza dumplings.
The Ingredients: gyoza skin/cabbage/hakusai cabbage/ginger/grated carrot
rolled barley/negi leek/minced pork/chopped squid/shoyu/sesame oil/potato starch

えっどこが、そうなの？と
いわれたら、身も蓋もない

Pig's tail は豚の尻尾
Pigtail は、おさげ髪
Ponytail ポニ-テ-ル

"Queue d'un porc/Cola de un cerdo"
It's a short, thin and kinked
tail of a pig. You don't agree?
That's OK.

逆さ「富士茶碗」蒸し-Custard in Mt.Fuji Bowl

裾野がひろがってて
具がよくみえる茶碗
珪石の粒荒々しいが
てびねりがやわらか

This upside down Mt.Fuji bowl
was hand pinched(200g clay).
As it(the foot of the slope) is wide
open, you can see each ingredient
of the "Chawan-Mushi".

My ceramic bowl:about 12cm W x 6.5cm H
