限界まで焼き締めた原土猪口-moon surface texture

関東ローム層（稲城）の土をいただいて
素焼きしてあった猪口を、貝殻と鞘に詰めた

耐火度テスト（1160度）で、やや溶けかかっていて、
粘性も乏しいので「稲城2：白木節3」を
窯の最下段で、いちかばちかで、焼いてみた（1245度・SK8微倒）

ロームとは
粘性質の高い「土壌」で、シルト（（silt　砂より小さく粘土より粗い）および粘土の含有割合が25--40%程度のものを指す。
関東ロームは火山噴出物が粘土化したもの。しかし、ロームの定義は、土壌中の粒径組成比率のみであり、火山起源物質であるとの定義は必要ない。

ルーペでのぞくと、まるで月面クレーター

Wow, I'm so glad you've survived!

unglazed earthenware, fired to the limit of its maturing temperature
so that the clay almost looks burnt and friable.




こんな土肌にこそ
酒をつぎたい
が、
これでは、一杯めを猪口に飲まれる

そうして「うつわ」は育つらしいが
とりあえず柿渋を吸わせてみた
匂いがぬけるまで、おあづけ、だ

I like to pour 'sake' first for the cup
and second for me, so that they say the cup would age and mature.
